Our JCC Sewing and Knitting Club is a volunteer group who give their time and energy stuffing dolls and sewing them up for young children who have cancer; these dolls go to Parkland Hospital. For newborn babies, volunteers knit baby caps and booties. Volunteers are welcome. We accept donations of fabrics, stuffing and yarn.
Wednesdays at 2 pm.
Join us to learn some fun line dances or just come for the great exercise. You never need a partner, Plus you get the health benefits of working out with realizing you are actually exercising. Dancing has been found to be the only regular physical activity associated with a significant drop in the incidence of dementia. Other Studies have shown Line Dancing in particular to be a great help in areas of memory, balance, cardiovascular, and vertigo.
Thursdays at 11 am.
Often described as meditation in motion, tai chi promotes serenity through gentle, flowing movements.
Tuesdays at 11 am.
Gently use and move all joints, muscles and connective tissue during the class.
You don’t need any prior experience to join the fun and creativity!
Kosher Lunch
We serve thousands of meals annually to seniors in our congregate meal program.
All food is prepared by our chef and is supervised by Dallas Kosher. Lunches are supported in part by the Dallas Area Agency on Aging, the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services, and the Jewish Community Center of Dallas. These meals are also made possible with generosity from the following foundations:
Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas and Leo & Rhea Fay Fruhman.This program serves everyone without discrimination regarding race, creed, color, sex, age, ancestry, national origin, religion, or handicap. JCC membership is not required. We welcome people with economic needs, disabilities, or limited English proficiency.

Ages: 15 Years and older
The J fitness staff wants each and every member to experience exercise and fitness in the most positive way possible and we aspire to assist each one of you in achieving all of your health and fitness goals. Do you already know what you want from your workout but don’t quite know how to use the equipment? During this orientation, a member of our experienced certified personal training staff shows you how to correctly use each piece of equipment. You learn proper alignment, biomechanics, and technique on each strength piece, as well as proper usage of all cardiovascular pieces. This is a great way to become familiar with all the equipment at the J.

Want a program to help strengthen the body and improve overall functionality? Perhaps you are just looking for new ways to spice up the old program. Our professional training team can help you to successfully achieve your goals. Fitness assessments consist of measurements of one or more aspects of your health and fitness. It may include your weight, cardiovascular condition (resting and exercise heart rate and performance), body composition, musculoskeletal condition, blood pressure, and body size (circumferences). The objective of your first assessment is to give you a baseline from which to measure your performance. Subsequent assessments provide milestones to help you evaluate your progress. In our state-of-the-art Fitness Complex, we are more versatile than ever. A 24-hour cancellation notice is required or the client is charged for the session. Training sessions expire ninety (90) days after purchase (gift certificates are no exception!).

Mildred Potash 85 Alive Grant
If you are 85 or older we want to make you aware of a special gift made possible by the Mildred Potash Eighty-Five Alive JCC Seniors’ Endowment Fund of the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation.
In celebration of your age, this fund has 20 grants available in the amount of $100 to be used to discount the cost of a JCC Membership. These grants are available on a first-come, first-served yearly basis.
