Using a wide variety of primary source documents and multimedia, we will unpack the history of the American Jewish experience. Students will gain a deeper understanding of the push and pull factors that compelled Jews to immigrate to America and the challenges of surviving despite experiencing hostility. We will examine prejudice through a Jewish lens as well as the dynamism and diversity of American Judaism.
